Brookfield Multiplex completed the Ernst & Young Centre in 2004. Located at 680 George Street and 50 Goulburn Street, the Centre is part of the World Square site in the midtown precinct of the Sydney CBD.
Brookfield Multiplex's significant involvement at World Square totaled in excess of $1 billion. The development included 90,000 m2 of office space across the Ernst & Young Centre, 50 Goulburn Street and 52 Goulburn Street, and 66 strata commercial office suites at 650 George Street. Additionally, Brookfield Multiplex provided for 16,500 m2 of retail space at World Square Shopping Centre, and 547 public car parking spaces as well as 746 tenant car parking spaces.
The project was broken down into two stages: the Ernst & Young Centre, and 52 Goulburn Street, completed in 2007.
The development is the commercial catalyst for the regeneration of the World Square site and is a key contributor to the city's southern expansion and urban renewal.
Brookfield Multiplex’s involvement at World Square is an example of the success of the company’s integrated property model, with all operating divisions playing key roles.
