Brookfield Multiplex has secured Resource Consent to build new corporate premises for Deloitte and the Bank of New Zealand in Auckland.

The proposed development will occupy an island site in the CBD, bordered by Queen Street, Shortland Street, Fort Street and Jean Batten Place.  The development proposal includes the integration and restoration of the historical Jean Batten Departmental Building following agreement on the proposed design with New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT).
Approximately 50% of the office accommodation as well as 70 car parks and a large retail premises fronting Queen Street has been leased to the Bank of New Zealand.

The remaining 50% of the office accommodation has been leased to Deloitte Services Ltd who will occupy levels 9-18 including 100 car parks and the basement changing facilities.

True Alliance is the third major tenant who are leasing the four retail units on ground floor with international brand names such as Lacoste, Ben Sherman, Rockport and the North Face.

The property on completion will comprise a 25 level-high premium quality office tower situated on Auckland's premier street.  The tower will provide 18 levels of office accommodation including six levels of podium accommodation with floor plates of up to 1,754 sqm and will be Auckland's first NZGBC 5 Star rated for design office tower.

The plant room will be situated at the upper levels and at level 7.  The ground level will incorporate an entrance and 12 metre high foyer at the corner of Queen and Shortland Street with the remainder of the ground level providing retail premises.  Four levels of basement car parking will provide 170 car parks accessed from Fort Street.

All figures are in Australian dollars.
