An opportunity currently exists for a Project Manager to join the Facilities Management division to oversee a multi million dollar city building services upgrade. You will be in charge of managing the project to ensure the works and services are safely completed on time, to specified quality and within budget.
Reporting to the General Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Management of all stages of project delivery including:
- Scope definition;
- Design;
- Tendering;
- Construction;
- Commissioning;
- Handover; and
- Tuning and Defects Liability Period.
- Ensure the following project specific and statutory requirements are met:
- Quality Assurance;
- Occupational Health & Safety; and
- Environmental and sustainability.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships and leadership with the project team.
- Contract administration of project contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Manage project costs to ensure the final cost is within the clients approved budget.
- Conduct project meetings.
- Prepare reports for the client on project progress, financial, OHS etc.
- Manage the seamless commissioning and handover of the project.
- Manage the tuning and defects liability periods efficiently.
- Apply risk and opportunity management to all key decisions for the project.
To be suitable for this role you are required to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or Construction Management; or
- Trade qualifications in HVAC, electrical services or building construction.
- 5 years experience as Project Manager, Services Manager or Site Manager on commercial building construction or refurbishment projects.
- Post trade/graduate qualifications in Building systems, Project Management, Engineering or Business Management is desirable and being an accredited NABERS assessor or accredited Green Star professional would be beneficial.
You will also need to be a motivated and enthusiastic leader, a confident communicator and have a sound commercial acumen.
