Does working for Brookfield Multiplex assist with your studies?
The Cadet Program has provided me with the opportunity to actively participate and learn on site whilst completing my degree. With the flexibility of full time work and part time study, the mix of ‘on the job’ knowledge as well as formal study has been beneficial in my overall development as a construction management professional. The skills, knowledge and understanding that I have developed over the past two and half years working for Brookfield Multiplex is invaluable not only toward completing my studies but in my career and workplace development.
What is it like to work in a team at Brookfield Multiplex?
Being based on site and working in a team of experienced people has allowed me to not only learn and develop my skills but to challenge myself and reach goals that I would never have thought possible at my age. Before completing my degree I have already played an active role in the completion of some landmark commercial buildings such as American Express Tower and Macquarie Bank Australian Headquarters, both at King St Wharf in Sydney’s Darling Harbour. Working alongside some of the best in the industry has allowed me to gain insight into the various ways to design, cost, manage and maintain buildings.
With a positive mix of life, work and study balance, Brookfield Multiplex have allowed me to gain a jumpstart on the industry. Not only are fellow colleagues highly skilled with the ability to pass on knowledge from years of experience, but the style of performance and cooperation within the team on site makes it easy for any new employee to fit in. The cadet program at Brookfield Multiplex has definitely provided me with an excellent foundation on which my role within the company and the industry will continue to develop.
