Code of Conduct

The Directors of Brookfield Multiplex Group (“Brookfield Multiplex”) have adopted a Code of Conduct (“the Code”). The Code applies to all employees of Brookfield Multiplex Limited and its subsidiaries. All employees receive a copy of the Code and the supporting policies upon commencement of employment within Brookfield Multiplex and thereafter it is expected that all Multiplex employees will observe the Code. Compliance with the Code is a condition of employment with Brookfield Multiplex and breaches are considered a serious matter, potentially resulting in disciplinary action, including dismissal.

Brookfield Multiplex prides itself as being a good employer and corporate citizen that is committed to avoiding and resolving disputes and is straightforward, fair and forthright in its communications and dealings.

Use of Company Assets

Brookfield Multiplex’s assets are at the core of our business and success. Any use of these assets other than for legitimate business purposes must be authorised in advance in accordance with Brookfield Multiplex’s Use of Company Assets. 

Confidentiality

Brookfield Multiplex’s confidential and proprietary information must not be used or distributed in contravention of the Confidential Information Policy.

Rights of Securityholders

Brookfield Multiplex acknowledges the rights of securityholders. All inquiries from Brookfield Multiplex securityholders are directed to Brookfield Multiplex’s security registrars, Link Market Services Limited, in the first instance. In the event that the security registrars are unable to assist a securityholder with their query, Brookfield Multiplex has nominated a sole point of contact to ensure that queries redirected form the security registrars are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.

Privacy

Brookfield Multiplex respects individuals’ privacy rights for the collection, storage and use of personal information, as contemplated in the Privacy Act 1988. Guidance on the use of such information is contained in the Privacy Policy and is available to all employees through the Brookfield Multiplex intranet.

Security Trading

Brookfield Multiplex employees must not trade in Brookfield Multiplex securities (or the securities of any other listed company) if they are in possession of price sensitive information that is generally not available to the public.

Communications

Brookfield Multiplex is committed to ensuring that information regarding our business is released to stakeholders in a fair, consistent, and timely manner. Brookfield Multiplex has adopted a Continuous Disclosure Policy that seeks to impose a reporting framework so as to ensure Brookfield Multiplex meets its continuous disclosure obligations under the ASX Listing Rules.

Conflicts of Interest

Brookfield Multiplex expects all employees to avoid actual or apparent conflicts of interest. In order to assist employees who may be in doubt about the existence of a conflict of interest Brookfield Multiplex has adopted a Conflicts of Interest Policy. The Conflicts of Interest Policy is available to all employees through the intranet.

Responsibility to Suppliers and Customers

Brookfield Multiplex aims to be fair in the relationships with our suppliers and customers.

Drug and Alcohol

Brookfield Multiplex has adopted a Drug and Alcohol Policy to assist in the provision of a safe working environment by minimising risks and hazards that arise from the irresponsible use of alcohol and drugs in the workplace.

Community

Brookfield Multiplex acknowledges its role and responsibility in the community and supports community initiatives through sponsorship and donations. In order to ensure that Brookfield Multiplex’s sponsorship and donations are targeted in an appropriate manner, Brookfield Multiplex has adopted a Sponsorship Policy and Donations Policy.

Gifts and Bribes

Brookfield Multiplex does not condone the acceptance or provision of gifts which might influence decisions taken in business transactions involving Brookfield Multiplex. Brookfield Multiplex has adopted a Gifts and Bribes Policy to ensure that employees are in no doubt as to whether you can accept or offer a gift.

Whistle-Blowing

Brookfield Multiplex will support employees should they have any concern associated with their employment and has adopted a separate Whistle-Blowing Policy to define the processes and protections available to employees.
